LESTO at Carnet Users Conference (CUC) 2023!
The demo-version of the platform, which is being developed within the Erasmus+ project LESTO, was presented at the Carnet Users Conference (CUC) 2023 conference. The conference was organized 26-28 of April in Rovinj, Croatia.
CARNET’s CUC 2023 conference entitled “Era of Digital Maturity” is dedicated to marking the completion of the e-School project, the implementation of which began in 2015. With its comprehensive approach to the application of modern technology, digital content and support, the project enabled equal opportunities for the education of all students. In addition to the word “maturity” being at the center of the e-School project due to the concept of digital maturity, it emphasizes the ability, empowerment and determination for further actions of schools in the field of application of digital technologies.
The aim of this conference is to encourage all relevant actors in the educational process from primary and secondary schools to continue lifelong learning, strengthen their competencies, apply innovative practices in their work, make teaching accessible and inclusive for all students, introduce innovations and actively use technologies of the future.
The LESTO project naturally contributes to these goals, given that the project is developing an online platform with which teachers and students can conduct experiments remotely. In addition to the Center for the Promotion of Science, partners from Turkey, Belgium and Portugal are participating in this Erasmus+ project. One of the goals of the project is for the final version of the platform to be used within educational systems across Europe. In the final version of the platform, the content will be available in English, Serbian, Portuguese, French and Turkish.
Participants and organizers of the CUC 2023 conferences had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the early version of the platform through an example of a learning scenario about time and the tools we use to measure time. The platform provides an interactive educational experience through various modules within the learning process itself, where in addition to textual content it is possible to participate in short quizzes, interact with digital content and conduct experiments with step-by-step explanations at home. The final version of the platform will cover more than ten learning scenarios for primary school age in different areas of natural sciences, whereby students will be able to use this platform both independently and accompanied by teachers and/or parents. Along with the platform, instructions will be provided for students and teachers who would like to participate in this learning process.
